Case study

Project overview

AutoHunt is an Indian automotive site covering cars, bikes and electric vehicles: launch news, reviews, specifications, prices and buying guides. It now carries 336 articles organised into Cars, Bikes, Electric Vehicles, Auto Guides and brand sections from Maruti Suzuki and Tata to Royal Enfield and BMW.

We built the website from scratch on WordPress in 2025 and have run its SEO since. The work covers the platform itself, the technical SEO that helps search engines read it, and the accuracy of the reviews people rely on when choosing a vehicle.

Scope

What we built

A fast, light magazine that is easy to publish on and easy for search engines to understand.

01

Lightweight build

GeneratePress as the framework, with no page builder, so the theme itself adds very little weight.

02

Clear structure

Cars, Bikes, Electric Vehicles and Auto Guides at the top, with brand sections underneath, so readers and crawlers can find every model.

03

SEO foundations

Rank Math PRO for titles, meta descriptions, XML and news sitemaps, breadcrumbs and article structured data.

04

Measurement built in

Google Site Kit set up inside WordPress, so search data is in the same place the team publishes.

SEO for a review site

Automotive search is unforgiving about accuracy. Prices change, variants are discontinued and specifications are revised, and a review that was right at launch can be wrong a year later. Our SEO work for AutoHunt covers the site and the content together.

Technical SEO

  • Structured data on every article, including breadcrumbs, and FAQ markup where a review answers buyers’ questions.
  • Sitemaps for articles and a news sitemap for launch coverage, so new posts are discovered quickly.
  • Real 404 pages. Missing URLs return a proper “not found” response instead of quietly redirecting to the homepage, which search engines treat as an error.
  • Search data in WordPress through Google Site Kit, so indexing and query data can guide what we work on.

A full audit, then priority fixes

In August 2026 we audited every article on the site for titles, meta descriptions, internal links, images, structured data and factual accuracy, and turned the findings into a ranked work queue.

The first eight priority reviews were then rewritten in full, including the Hyundai Creta Electric, Royal Enfield Scram 440, Mahindra XEV 9e, Revolt RV400, Toyota Innova Crysta and a best seven-seater cars list. Each got current prices and specifications, a corrected FAQ and a clearer title and description. The seven-seater list, for example, no longer recommends models that have been discontinued.

What we are working on next

SEO on a growing site is never finished. The audit set the next priorities, and we are working through them:

  • Shorter titles that fit in search results without being cut off.
  • Internal links between related models and buying guides, so no article is left without links pointing to it.
  • More images in reviews, where readers expect to see the vehicle from several angles.
  • Regular spec and price checks on older reviews, starting with the most-read pages.

What this page does not claim

This case study describes the build and the SEO work. It does not quote traffic or ranking figures.

Before you compare

What this means for your site

If you publish reviews, prices or specifications, accuracy is part of SEO. Search engines and readers both lose trust in pages that are out of date, so a good content site needs a technical foundation and a routine for keeping facts current.
