Content Review Policy
How content is reviewed before it is published.
Every page on this website is checked before publication and reviewed again periodically. This page explains what that review looks for and who is responsible for it.
Pre-publication review
No page is published without review by a member of the Apzom Digital team. The reviewer checks four things:
- Accuracy — are the factual claims correct, and is anything stated more confidently than the evidence supports?
- Expertise — does the advice reflect how we actually work, or does it read as generic industry commentary?
- Sources — is anything cited traceable to a primary source, and is that source current?
- Commercial honesty — are limitations stated, and have we avoided implying guarantees?
Who reviews
Review sits with the team member whose discipline the content covers. Search and technical content is reviewed against our SEO practice; content covering paid media is reviewed by the person running those campaigns. The team and their responsibilities are listed on our team page.
Periodic review
Search engines and ad platforms change frequently, which means accurate content becomes inaccurate without anyone editing it. Content covering platform behaviour, pricing expectations or technical recommendations is reviewed periodically and updated where it has drifted out of date.
What triggers an immediate review
- A significant platform or algorithm change affecting advice we have published
- A reader or client reporting an error
- A statistic or source we cited being retracted or superseded
- Our own professional view changing based on new evidence
Outcome
Where review finds an error, it is corrected under our corrections policy. Where content is no longer useful, it is rewritten or removed rather than left to mislead.
